Precautions for using heating rods in aquariums

Even after a power outage, it cannot be immediately taken out of the water, and the temperature at this time is also very high, which can easily burn people and damage the heating rod.

The lifespan of heating rods: We recommend that bimetallic heating rods should be replaced after one to two years of use, as the internal bimetallic plates are prone to malfunction over time and are relatively inexpensive to avoid unnecessary losses. The replaced heating rod can be used for heating when changing water.

4. There is no need to purchase imported heating rods. Not only do I support domestic products, but a regular bimetallic imported heating rod can cost as little as a hundred yuan or as much as a few hundred yuan. Based on 6 years of use, it still costs 20 yuan per year. It's better to buy a few domestic brand heating rods and use new ones every year.

5. There should be a spare heating rod at home, so that the heating rod won't break and you won't have to get up at night to boil water.

6. If the heating rod is broken, do not repair it. Ordinary bimetallic heating rods are not worth repairing, and safety cannot be guaranteed even after repair. Ordinary people do not have the ability to repair a split heating rod, so finding a professional to repair it is estimated to cost no less than buying a new heating rod.

7. When changing water, be careful not to expose the heating rod when the water level is too low.

8. Regularly observe the heating rod and thermometer. The indicator light of the heating rod cannot indicate normal operation, and the water temperature should be used as the reference. Because the indicator light is often on and the heating rod is not working. The two bimetallic heating rods inside the aquarium are set at 28 degrees Celsius and adjusted to be as synchronized as possible. The temperature controller outside the aquarium is equipped with a LCD display and a probe off water alarm function, set to 30 degrees Celsius, which provides dual safety.
