The filtered water flows back into the cylinder. The sink is equipped with a retractable support plate, which can be used to place heating rods and other equipment. The inlet pipe is connected by small pipes of about 20 centimeters each to achieve the purpose of lengthening. Below is a mesh shaped inlet, and the motor part must be exposed to the outside of the water and cannot be immersed in water.

Dry water pumps on the market are usually sold as a complete set with cylinder top filters. Disadvantage: This type of filter has low horsepower and average effectiveness.

2. A cylinder top filter driven by a submersible water pump. As the name suggests, it is a water pump located at the bottom of the water, with an upper filter box or a container for storing various filter and biochemical materials at the top. Advantages: Safe, durable, energy-saving, and low noise. Disadvantages: It takes up space at the bottom of the cylinder, and the accompanying sales water outlet pipe is a spiral hose, which affects the appearance inside the cylinder; The inner wall of the hose is dirty and difficult to clean. But the hose can be replaced with a hard pipe and bent to form a right angle in the cylinder.

Some people think that "upper filtration" is a submersible pump with an upper filtration box. In fact, the filtration method composed of "submersible" water pumps and "dry" water pumps combined with upper filter boxes and other filtering materials is called "upper filtration".
